g systems and covers all major (and also third party supplied) control systems. Our ambitious targets include organic growth, maintain highest industry standards and being a fully independent company for any kind of turbomachinery controls challenge. Control-Care works for and together with turbomachinery OEMs, engineering contractors and end-users to design entirely new control systems or to rejuvenate existing control systems (“refits”), provides field services, troubleshooting services and tailor-made training at site.

Future-proofing Offshore Compressor Control | Denmark
A reliable compressor control system is critical to safe and efficient offshore operations. That’s why Control-Care recently delivered a full control system rejuvenation for a gas gathering and compression station offshore Denmark.

The challenge:
Aging and obsolete control equipment within the Unit Control Panel (UCP) was impacting reliability and maintainability of two centrifugal compressors.

Our solution:
Control-Care executed a complete modernization—replacing legacy systems with a fully integrated solution based on ABB’s AC800M platform, including our proven Antisurge and Performance Control Applications (ACA & PCA).
From engineering to commissioning, we delivered a seamless upgrade with minimal operational disruption.

Between 2023 and 2025, we delivered a complete compressor control solution for a new two-stage air compressor installed to supply additional air to a regenerator of the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU). The OEM compressor is driven by a fixed-speed electric motor, making stable and protective control essential for reliable operation.

Our scope covered full design and software engineering of Control-Care’s compressor control suite, including:

✅ Antisurge Control Application (ACA)

✅ Performance Control Application (PCA)

✅ Implementation in Honeywell C300

By integrating ACA and PCA within the Honeywell C300 platform, the compressor is protected against surge while operating at optimal performance under varying process demands—supporting safe, efficient, and dependable operation.

A big thank you to the engineering team and all project partners for the strong cooperation throughout the project. Looking forward to the next challenges together.
