Mk1 cabriolet liefhebbers! Ik ben al enige tijd aan het overwegen om een productie aan te gaan. Afhankelijk uiteraard van de animo! Zoals velen weten zijn de votex dakdragers voor de cabrio niet alleen uniek en lastig te vinden maar ook zeldzaam en prijzig als je een set vindt. Nu ben ik bezig geweest met een nieuw concept op basis van deze set. De functionaliteit houden we hetzelfde. De bedoeling is dat die nog strakker, sterker en lichter wordt dan het origineel. Hoeveel animo hebben we hiervoor voordat ik hiermee bezig ga. Productie, materiaal kosten en transport ben ik zeker niet voor een 100 euro klaar.. maar we zouden het zeker wel betaalbaarder kunnen maken voor de gemiddelde liefhebber. En dat is ook afhankelijk hoeveel ik er laat maken zodat we de productie kosten per product zouden kunnen drukken. Let me know in the comments!
Mk1 Cabriolet enthusiasts! I’ve been considering starting a production run for some time now—depending, of course, on the level of interest. As many of you know, the Votex roof racks for the Cabriolet are not only unique and hard to find, but also rare and quite expensive if you manage to find a set.
I’ve been working on a new concept based on this setup. The functionality will remain the same, but the goal is to make it even sleeker, stronger, and lighter than the original.
How much interest is there before I move forward with this project? Production, material costs, and shipping definitely won’t make this a €100 product… but we should be able to make it much more affordable for the average enthusiast. That will also depend on how many I have produced, since larger quantities would help lower the production cost per unit.
