Regts - Delft Tiles We are a dealer of antique Dutch Delft wall tiles. A passion that started 50 years ago and eventually resulted in a family business. Enjoy!

We take our inspiration from tin-glazed tiles through the ages, manufactured in various factories in Holland, in diverse historical periods, and presenting ever-changing elements of figuration and design. We serve not only collectors, but also home owners who want to bring back the authentic look and feel of antique tiles in their house, restaurant, office, studio or in fact any living or working environment you can think of. If you have any questions, or if you did not find what you were looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us. We have access to thousands of original antique tiles, so if it's there, we will find it.

These hand-painted Delft tiles date from the 19th century and feature a flower within a diamond-shaped frame, painted in warm manganese.

The corners are decorated with a variation of the classic Fleur-de-lis corner motif. When several tiles are placed together, the corners connect to create an additional decorative pattern between the floral designs.

The design continues a long tradition in Delft tile making. Floral compositions within diamond-shaped frames were already popular during the earlier centuries of Delft tile production, although their appearance and painting style evolved over time.

We currently have around 500 original tiles available, enough to cover approximately 90 sq ft / 8.3 m². For projects requiring larger quantities, this design is also available as one of our hand-painted reproductions.

Each tile measures approximately 13 × 13 cm / 5.1 × 5.1 inches, with a thickness of approximately 7–8 mm / 0.3 inches.

You can find these tiles on our website under inventory number WTS 234, or get in touch with us to discuss the possibilities for your project. 💙

Often, when a beautiful selection of our antique Delft tiles leaves our gallery, we cannot wait to see where they eventually end up. But we also know that beautiful interiors take time, and sometimes it is only years later that we get to see the finished result.

That was also the case with this beautiful project by Shannon Connor Interiors in New Jersey, USA. We first started working on the tile selection back in 2024, when we supplied close to 400 original 18th- and 19th-century Delft wall tiles for the project. Having worked with Shannon and her team on several projects over the years, it makes it even more special to now see these tiles in their finished setting.

For this rustic farmhouse kitchen, Shannon used antique roses on a stem, while the adjoining pantry was complemented with roses without a stem, all hand-painted in manganese. The tiles were arranged in a more informal way, with patterns appearing here and there rather than repeating continuously across the walls.

It is always exciting to work with Shannon and her team and to see how they bring everything together. We love how naturally the antique Delft tiles have found their place in this home and how beautifully they complement the warm, rustic character of the interior. 💙

These original Delft wall tiles were made during the 18th and 19th century and feature a simple rose on a stem, painted in Blue.

The design offers lots of possibilities when creating an installation. By placing four tiles together with the stems connecting, a small decorative ornament appears, which can then be repeated across the wall. Alternatively, the tiles can be placed more randomly, breaking up the pattern and creating a much more varied composition.

The blue colour and simple floral design make these tiles suitable for both traditional and more contemporary interiors.

We currently have around 200 original tiles available, enough to cover approximately 36.4 sq ft / 3.38 m². For projects requiring larger quantities, this design is also available as one of our hand-painted reproductions

Each tile measures approximately 13 × 13 cm / 5.1 × 5.1 inches, with a thickness of approximately 7–8 mm / 0.3 inches.

You can find these tiles on our website under inventory number WTS 122 or get in touch with us to discuss the possibilities for your project. 💙

These antique Delft ornament tiles, known as ‘Yellow Tulips’, were mainly made between 1880 and 1920. Their stylised floral design and colors reflect the influence of Art Nouveau, which became increasingly important in European decorative arts around the turn of the 20th century.

The design is made up of two different tiles, placed one above the other to complete the ornament. When used across a larger wall, the tiles connect to form a decorative repeating pattern of yellow tulips.

We currently have approximately 100 of these original tiles available, enough to cover around 1.7 m² / 18 sq ft, making them particularly interesting for smaller to medium-sized tiling projects.

Each tile measures approximately 13 × 13 cm (5.1" × 5.1") is around 7–8 mm (0.3") thick and is registered under inventory number WTS 192.

These original Delft wall tiles date from around 1650 and show a wide variety of Child’s Play scenes, all painted in blue and decorated with the characteristic ox-head corner motif.

The scenes give a charming glimpse into childhood in the 17th century. Among them are children jumping rope, flying kites, bowling, playing a game of golf and enjoying many other activities.

With their variety of scenes, these tiles are beautiful to use in both restoration and interior design projects.

Each tile measures approximately 13 × 13 cm / 5.1 × 5.1 inches, with a thickness of approximately 1 cm / 0.4 inches.

If you are interested in these tiles, you can find them on our website under inventory number WTS 49, or get in touch with us to discuss the possibilities for your project

We were recently asked to take on the restoration of the original Delft tilework in this listed historic farmhouse in Friesland.

Much of the original interior had been covered over for many years, but underneath, the outlines of an old fireplace gradually became visible, together with sections of tiled wainscoting on both sides.

The tiles have clearly lived through a lot. Some were exposed to an open fire for a very long period of time, leaving them deeply saturated with soot. As the farmhouse is a listed national monument, preserving and reusing as much of the original tilework as possible is an important part of the restoration.

At the same time, the walls need to be reinforced and insulated, which means the complete tiled interior has to be carefully dismantled and later rebuilt.

Last week, we started the first stage of this process: removing the original tiles together with Arno van Sabben, making sure as many as possible can be saved.

Back at our workshop, we will assess every tile individually. Those suitable for reuse will be fully prepared by desalinating them, removing the accumulated soot and carefully cleaning them before they can return to the farmhouse in the best possible condition.

Based on the new dimensions of the restored interior, we will then reconstruct the fireplace and surrounding wainscoting. Any original tiles that are missing or can no longer be reused will be carefully matched with suitable antique tiles from our own collection. This way, as much of the original tilework as possible will be preserved, while the fireplace itself can once again be restored as a complete composition.

A beautiful restoration project, and one we look forward to bringing back to its former glory. 💙

These antique Delft flower tiles date from the late 19th to early 20th century and were made by Tichelaar in Makkum, a pottery with a long tradition of Dutch tile production.

Each tile features a small hand-painted flower framed inside a circular border, with the classic Spider motif in the corners. When installed together, the circular borders, flowers and corner motifs create a striking repeating pattern across the wall.

There is plenty of variety between the different flowers, and because they are all painted by hand, each tile has its own character.

We only have a limited number of these tiles available. All have been carefully reclaimed, cleaned and prepared for reuse, making them a lovely option for a smaller interior project or restoration where you want to bring in a genuine piece of Dutch tile history.

Each tile measures approximately 13 × 13 cm / 5.1" × 5.1" and is around 0.7–0.8 cm / 0.3" thick.

Interested in these tiles? You can find them on our website under inventory number WTS 205, or get in touch with us to discuss the possibilities. 💙

We recently received these beautiful photos from Kathy Marshall Interiors, captured by Greg Premru, and we love seeing how this kitchen came together.

For the backsplash, we supplied original 18th- and 19th-century plain white Delft tiles in our 1st quality and at the centre, just above the range, Kathy chose one of our antique 19th-century Delft tile murals. The 16-tile mural depicts a richly decorated flower vase with prancing horses and makes a beautiful focal point in the kitchen.

We always love receiving photos of finished projects like this. These tiles have already survived for centuries and seeing them reused and becoming part of a completely new interior is always something special.

If you would like to see more projects featuring our antique Delft tiles, have a look on our website or feel free to get in touch. 💙
