For the past several weeks, these pumps have been transferring fresh water from Markermeer into the inland canal system near Muiderslot.

Helping maintain stable water levels and reduce the risk of soil salinity during dry periods, this is smart water management in action, and a beautiful sight from above.

At BBA Pumps, we take noise reduction seriously. Many of our pump sets are independently tested in accordance with ISO 3744:2010, so customers can rely on clear and objective sound performance data. Sometimes, though, a test report tells an even better story than the numbers.

During a sound test of an 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗧 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽, the report included the following note: “𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱𝘀.”

We’ll take that as a compliment. The pump was so quiet that the birds in the background became the biggest challenge during the measurement.

Reducing noise remains an important focus in our product development, because a quieter pump means:
