⚙️ Smarter propulsion starts with smarter flow.

The Optima DUCT is one of our newest Energy Saving Devices (ESDs), designed to improve propeller performance by optimising the water flow before it reaches the propeller.

By creating a more uniform inflow, the Optima DUCT increases propulsion efficiency, reduces energy losses and can deliver fuel savings of up to 6%.

The result? More thrust, lower CO₂ emissions and improved operational efficiency.

Suitable for both newbuilds and retrofit projects, the Optima DUCT is an effective solution for seagoing vessels such as tankers and dry bulk carriers.

⚙️ Silent Bulb: enhancing propulsion efficiency

The Silent Bulb is a DMC Energy Saving Device (ESD) designed to improve the propeller wake field. Mounted on the rudder and positioned on the propeller centreline, it optimises water flow, increases thrust at higher loads and improves propeller efficiency.

By reducing cavitation on the rudder, the Silent Bulb helps minimise noise and extends rudder lifetime. It can also deliver fuel savings of up to 1.5%, making it an effective solution for both newbuild and retrofit projects.

Ideal for sea-going full-spade and semi-spade vessels operating at speeds of 14 knots and above.
