At Mach4Metal, we are constantly searching for high-quality used machines to expand our inventory. Recently, we acquired a VDF BOEHRINGER - DUE 800 center lathe, a powerful and reliable machine that fits perfectly within our range of used lathes. This conventional lathe from the late 1980s is in exceptional condition and has only been used for a few hours per year. Machines of this quality are extremely rare nowadays. The bed of this machine—the heavy frame on which the lathe is built and which ensures stability and precision—was cast in series and stored outdoors. Once a machine was sold, Boehringer would collect the bed and perform stress-free grinding before it was put into production. The DUE 800 features a double prism guideway, high power output, and is known as a “machine for life.”
