Signature Foods Tapas in Almelo produces fresh hummus, olives and Heks'nkaas. For their hummus, we built a complete packaging line that runs the whole way from chickpea to sealed cup.
The challenge: one denester for three different cups, including a trio cup that has to stay in the same position from start to finish. Everything fully automatic and connected, with short changeover times.
The line includes:
- A bowl cutter that turns chickpeas into fresh hummus
- A denester that handles three different cups
- A Rex vacuum filler that fills accurately to weight
- A Proseal GT1e traysealer that runs 3,000 cups per hour
- An OC conveyor that brings every connection together at one central point
The whole line is controlled from the traysealer. That keeps it stable and easy to operate. The existing three-head filler at Signature Foods is built into the line as well.
