From our founder’s desk-
In newborn care, time is not just critical —
time is life.
In many of the communities we work in, a baby with severe jaundice does not die because treatment does not exist.
They die because:
The facility is too far.
Power supply is unstable.
Referral comes too late.
Equipment is too expensive or unavailable.
So I founded Tiny Hearts Technology after witnessing how something treatable becomes fatal simply because care is out of reach.
That reality shaped our first innovation: Crib A’glow - a solar-powered, low-cost phototherapy system designed for health facilities that do not have the luxury of uninterrupted electricity or advanced neonatal units.
But this work has never been about a device.
It is about strengthening the hands of the health worker in the primary health centre.
It is about bringing life-saving care closer to the baby.
It is about proving that where a child is born should not determine if that child survives.
Every deployment reminds us:
Innovation in low-resource settings must be
accessible, durable, affordable, and designed for real conditions - not ideal ones.
Through Tiny Hearts , we are committed to:
👶🏽 reducing preventable newborn deaths
🏥 supporting frontline health facilities
🌍 building context-driven health innovations in Africa
We are looking to collaborate with partners who are passionate about:
• scaling newborn survival solutions
• strengthening primary healthcare systems
• local manufacturing & distribution
• implementation across underserved communities
Because saving newborn lives is not a single-organisation mission - it is a systems mission.
