Active Ingredients*
- *Imidacloprid 210 g/L*– Neonicotinoid insecticide
- *Beta-cyfluthrin 90 g/L* – Pyrethroid insecticide

A broad-spectrum insecticide formulated as an Oil Dispersion (OD) containing two active ingredients:

*How it works:*
- *Imidacloprid* acts on the insect’s nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, interfering with nerve signal transmission. This causes paralysis and death.
- *Beta-cyfluthrin* is a pyrethroid that disrupts sodium channels in the nervous system, affecting insect movement and behavior.

- The two modes of action are complementary. The mix gives fast knockdown from beta-cyfluthrin and longer-lasting systemic/translaminar activity from imidacloprid.

*Target pests:*
Effective against sucking and chewing insects including:

Potash = potassium fertilizer. In farming shorthand people say "potash" or "K" when talking about the third macronutrient after N and P. If you want a "good harvest" and "strong" crops with maximum yield, K is the one that makes it happen.

*Why Potash is Critical for Maximum Production*
Potassium doesn’t build the plant structure like N, but it runs the plant’s operating system:

Active ingredient: Mancozeb 800 g/kg

IVORY 80 WP is a wettable powder fungicide with *Mancozeb 800 g/kg (80% w/w)* as the active ingredient. It’s a broad-spectrum, non-systemic contact fungicide used to prevent fungal diseases in field crops, fruits, and vegetables.

*What it is:*
- *Active ingredient*: Mancozeb – a polymeric dithiocarbamate complex with manganese and zinc
- *Formulation*: WP = Wettable Powder. 800 g/kg means 800g of active ingredient per kg of product

*NPK GOLDEN FERTILIZER – 20-10-10 & 15-15-15*

"Golden" is a common brand name for NPK compound fertilizers in West Africa. Both 20-10-10 and 15-15-15 are compound fertilizers, meaning they contain all 3 macronutrients in one granule.

1. *What the numbers mean*
NPK numbers show the percentage of the 3 primary nutrients by weight:
- *N = Nitrogen* – for leaf and vegetative growth
- *P = Phosphorus (as P₂O₅)* – for root development, flowering, fruiting
- *K = Potassium (as K₂O)* – for overall plant health, disease resistance, fruit quality

So:
- *20-10-10* = 20% N, 10% P, 10% K
- *15-15-15* = 15% N, 15% P, 15% K

*EMAMECTIN BENZOATE:*

*Emamectin Benzoate* is a semi-synthetic insecticide derived from abamectin, which itself comes from the soil bacterium _Streptomyces avermitilis_. It’s used heavily in agriculture for lepidopteran control because it hits fast and sticks around long enough to matter.

*Chemical identity and class:*
*Structure*: It’s a mixture of two homologs, emamectin B1a and B1b, with B1a making up at least 90%.
*Chemical class*: Avermectin, IRAC Group 6. Group 6 insecticides are chloride channel activators.
*Formulation*: Almost always used as the benzoate salt because it’s more stable and water-soluble than the base compound.

*Mode of action:*
- Once ingested by a caterpillar, Emamectin Benzoate binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels in nerve and muscle cells. That floods the cells with chloride ions, causing hyperpolarization. The result is paralysis and cessation of feeding within hours. Death follows in 2-4 days as the insect can’t feed, move, or molt.

- It acts on the nervous system, you get a very fast stop-feed effect. That’s why crop damage halts quickly even before the larvae die.

*Key property that make it useful*

*Translaminar movement*: After spraying, it moves into the leaf tissue and forms a reservoir. Larvae feeding on either side of the leaf get a dose.

*Target pests and crop:*

- *Corn, cotton, vegetables, fruit*: Fall armyworm, corn earworm, to***co budworm, diamondback moth, cabbage looper, tomato fruitworm.
- *Rice*: Stem borers and leaf folders.
