Deepwater Engineering Limited takes pride in supporting local capacity building by providing our technology facility, including diving equipment like the advanced Diving Decompression Chamber (DDC), which was made available for the DMT training held with Subweb Technical Academy.

This equipment allows Diver Medical Technician (DMT) trainees to practice real-life decompression situations. With the DDC, trainees can engage in simulations that closely resemble actual underwater emergencies, ensuring they are prepared for any situation. This practical approach builds both confidence and the skills needed for success in the diving industry.

Location: Lagos

We are currently hiring a qualified 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 with years of experience in the Marine, Oil & Gas industry in Nigeria. This position is strictly for candidates with in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practical application to the benefit of our organization with the use of 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬.

𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬/ 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬/𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
-Assists with day-to-day running of the finance department.
-Preparation of Intercompany schedules for monthly & annual reporting.
-Preparation of customer invoices – TMSA, APL and reconciliation of its related ledgers.
-Preparation of Intercompany & OPC invoices and reconciliation of its related ledgers.
-Ensure filing of statutory returns e.g. VAT, WHT, CIT are accurate and submitted on time.
-Preparation of schedules for JV management reports – Bank reconciliations, Fixed Assets Schedules, Accruals, Prepayments etc.
-Maintenance of GL accounts on Navision, monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet GL accounts.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
-Ensures accurate & timely preparation of monthly management TBs/ reports for the group.
-Timely Filing of and remittance of VAT & WHT returns for the Group & Shelf companies.
-Assists with year-end audits, production of financial statement for Group & Shelf Companies.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬/ 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬:
-Availability of updated & documented self-explanatory Chart of Accounts.
-Generate accounting information & reports within reporting timelines.
-Reduction of % Error rate in daily postings & monthly general ledger close.
-Reduction of % in wastage and cost.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
· Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance or related field from an accredited university.
· Professional Qualification: Recognized professional accreditation (ICAN /CFA/ACA /CIMA/ ACCA etc.) is compulsory
· 3-5 years of relevant experience in similar role.

𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥/ 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥:
-Proficient with QuickBooks.
-Proficiency of Corporate Accounting Practice / Standard Auditing Practices along with the expertise in budget analysis and identification of variance.
-Knowledge of statutory provision with respect to the tax management & planning.
-Conversant with federal and state financial regulation, applicable laws, codes and regulations.
-Good understanding of oil and gas industry

We are filled with gratitude as we reflect on the amazing three days at the conference. It was a wonderful experience where we shared, connected with other organizations making wave in the oil and gas industry.
