Danisem Nigeria Ltd proposes the construction of a secondary perimeter security fence around the existing water reservoir and associated mechanical infrastructure. The objective of this intervention is to enhance site security, operational safety, and asset protection.
1. Project Overview
The reservoir area currently houses critical components including:
Surface pipelines and valves
Pumping and flow control systems
Open water containment structure
Due to its strategic importance, the facility requires an additional protective boundary to restrict unauthorized access and minimize operational risks.
2. Design Considerations
The secondary fence will be designed in accordance with standard civil and structural engineering practices, considering:
Site Topography: The terrain appears relatively stable with mild undulations; minimal earthworks will be required for fence alignment.
Soil Condition: Likely lateritic soil, suitable for shallow foundation systems for fence posts.
Hydraulic Safety: Setback distance from the reservoir edge will be maintained to prevent undermining or erosion near the water structure.
3. Construction Approach
Site clearing and setting out
Excavation for post foundations
Casting of concrete bases
Installation and alignment of fence posts
Fixing of mesh and security toppings
Final inspection and commissioning
This secondary fencing system will serve as a critical protective infrastructure, ensuring long-term durability, operational efficiency, and safety of the reservoir facility managed by Danisem Nigeria Ltd.
