The beginning of spiritual pollution and damnations- The Book Of Wisdom:
For the devising of idols was the begining of spiritual fornication, and the invention of them the corruption of life- The book of Wisdom 14:12,
For by the vain glory of men they entered into the world, and therefore shall they come shortly to an end -14:14,
Thus in process of time an ungodly custom grown strong, was kept as a law, and graven Image were worshipped by the commandment of kings -14:16,
And this was an occasion to deceive the world; for men serving either calamity or tyranny, did ascribe unto stones and stocks the incommunicable name -14:21,
For the worshipping of idols not to be named is the beginning, the cause, and the end of all evil -15:1,
For the sight whereof enticeth fools to lust after it, and so they desire the form of a dead image that hath no breath -15:5,
As for the mysteries of God, they knew not: neither hoped they for the wages of righteousness, nor discerned a reward for blameless soul - 2:22,
Nevertheless through the envy of the devil came death into the world: and they that do hold of his side finds it - 2:24
But the soul of the righteous are in the hand of God, and there shall no torment touch them -3:1,
In the sight of the unwise they seemed to die; and their departure is taken for misery -3:2,
And having been a little chastised, they shall be greatly reward, for God prove them, and found them worthy for him -3:5,
As gold in the furnace hath he tried them, and received them as a burnt offering -3:6,
And in time of visitation they shall shine and run to and fro like sparks among the stubble -3:7,
They shall Judge the nations, and have dominion over the people and their LORD shall reign forever.
