🚴 Project update: The L 3080 Elende–Wipperdorf walking and cycling project is making steady progress. The planned 4.07 km route will close an important gap in the network, extending the existing connection from Niedergebra to Elende and providing a safer link for cyclists and pedestrians between local communities.
Detailed design is currently ongoing, with the project in the design/audit stage and technical refinements being worked through as part of the next planning steps. Once complete, the scheme will help improve safety along the L 3080 corridor, which carries around 2,590 vehicles per day.
We look forward to sharing more updates as the design progresses. We are especially excited to bring this expertise to Namibia and local projects — applying the same technical insight, planning approach, and commitment to safer active mobility infrastructure in ways that respond to local needs and contexts. We look forward to helping implement similar people-centred transport solutions that improve connectivity, accessibility, and road safety.
