University of Southampton Malaysia Industrial Engagement Program (ICE) with SEW-Eurodrive Malaysia 🌏⚙️

We were delighted to welcome 83 students and 5 academic staff from the University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM) to SEW-EURODRIVE for an Industrial Engagement (ICE) Program.

The visit offered students from diverse nationalities and backgrounds an inside look into the nature of our business operations, from our drive technology solutions to hands-on site activities. The Q&A sessions were highly engaging — filled with curiosity, fresh perspectives, and great discussions!

A big thank you to UoSM for choosing SEW-EURODRIVE as part of your learning journey. We hope the experience provided valuable industrial insight and inspiration for the next generation of engineers and innovators.

Throughout this journey, they showed great enthusiasm, adaptability, and a genuine drive to learn — from hands-on exposure in engineering and operations, to sharpening their skills in communication, leadership, and teamwork. 🌟

SEW-Eurodrive also is honored to collab and be an industrial partner to UoSM, and it has been a pleasure to witness the growth of these talented individuals during their time with us. We were pleased to receive internship applications from the University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM) in June 2025. The whole program lasts for about 3 months, allowing us to welcome talented individuals into SEW-Eurodrive Malaysia. During their time here, they gained exposure across various departments — from engineering to operations such as basic gear motor assembly and testing, basic SAP & CRM processes, market research etc., and soft skills like fundamentals of leadership, effective communication and managerial roles — and developed a well-rounded understanding of the business. 🌟

Their curiosity and eagerness to learn have truly impressed us, and we look forward to seeing how these experiences shape their future careers. 🚀

On July 17, 2025, SEW-EURODRIVE JB hosted a Complimentary Health Check event for all employees. The initiative offered employees the chance to assess their BMI, blood glucose levels, and blood pressure—all key indicators of overall health. In addition to these screenings, employees also received free health consultations, providing valuable insights into how they can improve their lifestyle and manage potential health risks. This event was designed not just to promote awareness, but to empower our team to make informed decisions about their health, leading to better well-being both in and outside of the workplace.

At SEW-EURODRIVE, we’re committed to supporting our employees' health, because we know that a healthy team is a productive and motivated one. A big thank you to Regency Specialist Hospital and AIA for making this event possible and helping us invest in the wellness of our workforce. 😇
