🔧 CAT 3406 Pedestal Crane Engine Radiator Replacement Completed ⚙️
Alpha Helix Energy Sdn. Bhd. has successfully completed the radiator replacement and commissioning works for the Caterpillar 3406 pedestal crane engine located at an offshore facility in Songkhla, Thailand.
The scope of work carried out included:
• Inspection and measurement verification of new and existing radiator components
• Removal of existing radiator, fan assembly, hoses, exhaust bellow, and related components
• Installation of new radiator core and modification of radiator guard for hydraulic oil cooler hose fitment
• Reinstallation of hydraulic oil cooler, fan guard, radiator cover, and engine enclosure
• Replacement of fan and alternator belts
• Installation of new water level indicator and exhaust gasket
• Radiator flushing, leak inspection, and engine commissioning
The engine was successfully tested under no-load and crane operational load conditions. All operating parameters, cooling system performance, and engine RPM remained stable throughout the testing period with no abnormalities detected.
The unit has been successfully restored and is ready for continued operation.
