GE Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM), formerly known as AERO ‘97, is a joint venture between General Electric Company (GE) and Malaysia Airline System Berhad (MAS), and it started operations in Subang on 1st October 1997. GEESM is a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE for aircraft engine repair and overhaul in the Asia Pacific Region. It is a strategic part of GE Engine Services’ worldwide aviation support network. First of its kind in Southeast Asia, GEESM is located at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang and has a workforce of about 300 people. GEESM was General Electric’s first aircraft engine overhaul center in Asia and services customers in the Asia Pacific.
