25th December 2025 : 10.30pm onwards.......was in one of the most energy efficient shopping mall in Klang Valley to witness the retrofitting of the pulley & belt driven centrifugal forward curve fan to the most energy efficient fan at the moment : NOVENCO EC Axial Fan using IE5 motor in a AHU. This EE shopping mall had since August 2022, has been wanting to retrofit more than 100 AHUs in their mall.
It looks easy. Remove the old blower assembly and replaced by the new Novenco fan assembly. There are myriads of issues to consider like removing pulleys, belts, motor, old supporting spring isolators, sealants, electrical connections, strengthening or replacing old panels and base panel, programming and settings of VSD.

B4, readings were 55.0Amps and induction motor running at 32.6kW. Using the NOVENCO EC Fan, AHU is running at 37.7Amps and 18.9kW and 179Hz for VSD.
