REAM at BEM-MEIS 2026 | Collaboration with Intent

27th January 2026 | Tuesday

The Road Engineering Association of Malaysia (REAM) was honoured to participate in the BEM Stakeholders Engagement Programme – BEM-MEIS 2026, hosted by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), which brought together 36 engineering institutions and societies from across the country.

In line with the theme “Collaboration with Intent”, the programme provided a valuable platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing and strategic collaboration in shaping the future of Malaysia’s engineering profession.

REAM was represented by REAM Council Member, Dr. Azwan Ezzany bin Azmi, underscoring REAM’s continued commitment to working closely with regulators, professional bodies and industry stakeholders in advancing the road and transport infrastructure sector.

During the programme, REAM also operated an exhibition booth to:

🔹 Promote REAM membership
🔹 Highlight REAM’s technical activities, training and knowledge-sharing platforms
🔹 Strengthen engagement with engineering institutions and stakeholders

REAM would also like to express our sincere appreciation to YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Works, for taking the time to visit the REAM booth. His presence reflects the strong support and close relationship between the Government and professional engineering institutions.

REAM fully supports BEM’s Strategic Plan 2026–2030, particularly in:

• Talent development and retention
• Strengthening professional standards
• Advancing innovation and technological readiness in infrastructure delivery

📌 REAM also promoting the upcoming REAM major events happening this year:

• International Conference on Slope 2026
🗓️ 29–30 April 2026
• 13th Malaysian Road Conference & Exhibition 2026
🗓️ 13–15 October 2026

As Malaysia continues to emphasise safe, resilient and sustainable infrastructure, REAM remains committed to being a key technical partner in elevating road, highway and slope engineering excellence for the nation.
