🌞 One bright morning, I was bubbling with excitement as I prepared for my graduation photoshoot. Clutching my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I imagined the doors would open. The bell rang, graduates lined up, and cameras clicked… but beneath the joy, a quiet worry gnawed at me.
😟 Looking at my certificate, I realized that having a degree was not enough. Recruiters often overlooked fresh graduates they wanted years of experience I didn’t have. The enthusiasm I felt that morning quickly turned into frustration and doubt. I even tore up a mock certificate during the photoshoot, feeling the sting of unpreparedness for the real-world job market. One paper even bluntly reminded me: “No experience.”
💡 Determined not to let my lack of practical skills define my career, I reached out to one of the best Computer Science lecturers I knew for advice.
