V.I.S. Technology.....

RTC360 and BLK360 3D laser scanners are equipped with V.I.S. technology. The Visual Intertial System ensures that the scanner knows its position in 3D space when moving to the next scan location. And even better, this position is displayed live via the Cyclone Field 360 app, available for Android & iOS tablet or phone.
In short, every scan project has been checked for completeness and the scan positions have already been registered in the field.
Detecting point features – or so-called landmarks – in the image stream and tracks their position from one image frame to the next. Now, when the camera moves towards a building, the detected features, e.g. the corners of the building, or the door or the windows, will then move from the image centre outwards since the building is getting larger in the field of view. When the camera is rotating from left to right the features on the image would then move to the right and to the left. Hence, from the movement of the feature points between the frames of the image stream, Visual SLAM can deduce the direction of motion of the camera in 3D-space.



We have this unit RTC360 and BLK360 that use or have Visual Intertial System function. Also IMU function on it. We have many more scanner and technology that suitable for entry, mid-range and advanced level.

With today's technology, everything is possible. for example as below is 3D mapping and profiling the old tunnel which was done by our client in one of the oldest tunnels in Malaysia. Assisted by the experts, this 120 years old tunnel measured at 350 meters in length was successfully scanned and mapped by using the RTC360 and BLK2GO 3D scanner from Leica Geosystems. It took around 90 minutes to scan the tunnel from end to end.

Can you register/view/measure/assets tagging in pointcloud using a phone??

Yup, of course it is possible but by using the right application(Cyclone Field360) + software(Cyclone Register360) and of course with the correct way to do using 3D Laser Scanner
