左开还是右开？
听起来很简单，现场却真的很容易讲错。🚪

问题往往不是谁不懂，
而是双方站的位置、使用的定义不一样。
所以工程项目里，
door opening direction 不能只靠一句 WhatsApp。

Door location、opening side、hinge side、door number
都应该清楚标示并双方确认。

一个方向确认错，
后面可能就是撞墙、撞设备，甚至直接 rework。

左边还是右边，哪一扇才是防火门？👀
如果只看外表，其实很难判断。
防火门不是看起来比较厚、比较重，就代表符合要求。
真正要确认的，是 panel、frame、hardware、fire seal、label 和相关 certificate，
是否符合项目 specification。
做工程，不能靠猜。
看 Spec，确认清楚。

A door isn’t fire-rated simply because it looks thicker or feels heavier.
The panel, frame, hardware, fire seal, label and certification must match the project specification.

看到 Architect 指定 **Steel Fire-Rated Door**，
Contractor 最常问的其中一个问题就是：
“Timber 有 fire rating，能不能换？
成本不是比较低吗？”

问题不只是 fire rating。
在 factory、plant room、service area 这类位置，
Architect 通常还会考虑使用频率、碰撞风险、耐用度和后续维护。

如果 specification 写的是 Steel，却直接换成 Timber，
真正的风险往往是在 inspection、consultant approval
或 handover 阶段才出现。

到时候省下来的 cost，
可能还不够 cover rework 和 delay。

所以看 door schedule，不要只看价格。
**先看 specification，再谈 alternative。**

and should remain unobstructed and properly configured.

Wedging them open or removing the door closer
may compromise their intended function during an emergency.

Safety should never be traded for convenience.
