In conjunction with International Literacy Day, we are proud to celebrate a shared achievement with tHe Spring Shopping Mall Kuching. The Little Reader’s Club has received the Silver Award at the Top Sustainability Practices Awards 2025/2026, presented by PPK Malaysia.

One Initiative. Many Partners. One Shared Purpose.

A little celebration for our little readers! 📚

We’re proud to share that tHe Spring’s Little Reader’s Club has received the Silver Award for Top Sustainability Practices Awards 2026, presented by PPK Malaysia (Malaysia Shopping Malls Association).

But this recognition is a celebration of everyone who continues to be part of the journey — from the Sarawak Storytellers Association (SSA), who bring stories to life at each session, to Perbena Emas Sdn Bhd and our 12 tenant sponsors, who continue to contribute in their own ways to create meaningful experiences for the children.

Together, we’re creating more opportunities for children, including those from underprivileged families and communities, to discover the joy of reading, learning and storytelling.

We’re grateful to be part of this journey with SSA, and hope this shared recognition helps bring greater awareness to the importance of literacy and storytelling in our community.

The river did not follow the construction schedule — so the project team had to adapt to it.

Sarawak Tribune’s latest feature highlights the engineering journey behind the 4.844-kilometre Batang Lupar 1 Bridge, including the challenges posed by low tides, strong currents, changing water depths and complex marine operations.

Our Project Manager, Mr Yang Ching Hian, shared how specialised equipment, rotating work shifts, strict safety protocols and close stakeholder coordination supported the delivery of this major crossing. At certain stages of construction, more than 300 personnel were involved daily, working together to manage an environment that continued to change around them.

Connecting with the next generation of talent 🔔
Perbena Emas Sdn. Bhd. was delighted to participate in the Curtin Malaysia x MYFutureJobs Careers Fair 2026 on 13 and 14 August 2026 at Curtin University Malaysia, Miri. Throughout the event, our team had the opportunity to connect with students and visitors, share insights into PESB’s projects and provide a closer look at the people and experiences behind our work.
