A proud and meaningful milestone for Perunding Muhandis Sdn Bhd as we attended the official launching of the New Mosque of Debak Sub-District, officiated by Premier Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg on Friday, 17 April 2026 (28 Syawal 1447H).

This mosque development was initiated through the strong commitment and efforts of Yang Berhormat Datuk Haji Mohammad Razi bin Sitam,
Timbalan Menteri Pembangunan Kesejahteraan Komuniti Sarawak , who has been instrumental in advocating for the needs and well-being of the Muslim community in N.35 Saribas. The project received full support from the Sarawak Government, under the Special Fund of the Premier of Sarawak.

Perunding Muhandis Sdn Bhd is honoured to have played a role as the consultant for this meaningful project. Construction commenced on 20 December 2023 and was successfully completed on 25 November 2025. The mosque now stands as a welcoming and comfortable place of worship, accommodating up to 815 congregants on a 2.98-acre site.
Beyond serving as a place of worship, this mosque is envisioned to strengthen community bonds and support the continued growth and development of the ummah in Debak.

May this mosque continue to flourish as a centre of unity, faith, and community for generations to come.

Last night, Perunding Muhandis Sdn Bhd had the honour of attending the Gabungan Jurutera Perunding Bumiputera Sarawak (GJPBS) Anniversary Dinner & Engineers’ Awards 2025, graced by the presence of the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

The evening was not only a celebration of professional excellence and collaboration among Sarawak’s engineering community, but also an inspiring message from the Premier on the state’s commitment to strengthening the engineering and consultancy sector.

The Premier shared encouraging news the Sarawak Government will review the payment and fee structure for consultants and engineers to ensure a fairer and faster process that supports smoother project delivery.

He also reminded us that Sarawak’s growth continues with upcoming major projects highways, deep-sea port, new airport bringing more opportunities for local professionals to shine.
