The brick edge is carefully self-cut to create layered shadows and stronger visual dimension, turning a plain structural column into a bold architectural statement. The stepped detailing adds rhythm, movement and softness to the solid concrete surface.

Proud to see Malaysian architecture featured in a magazine!

A 1980s terrace house in Kuala Lumpur is wrapped in a porous brick façade that filters tropical light, creating a magical play of breeze and shadow. Recycled chips were used to create a terrazzo-like finish, adding a subtle thoughtful detail to the bricks while supporting environmental sustainability.

The design centers around an airwell that brings daylight deep into the home and enhances passive cooling. Materials like brick, timber, and concrete were thoughtfully used to create a durable, sustainable, and timeless aesthetic.
