A review by a customer...
"I was googling on tire prices when I saw the link to mytayar.com. It was time for me to change all 4 of my tires and I did ask around a few shops in my neighborhood. The best deal I got for my budget was for a set of new but low-quality tires. I was just googling to confirm that the price they quoted was reasonable enough before proceeding. But instead, I saw mytayar.com.
I played along with the filter and to my surprise, with my budget, I could actually get a set of new high-quality tires INCLUSIVE of alignment, balancing and labor charges! The instruction given on the web was clear and simple. After paying deposit via FPX and presented with and email, I called the workshop and got an appointment the next day itself! At the workshop everything was smooth and there were no hidden charges at all. I paid accordingly as per indicated on the web and then I just drove home happily with my new set of quality tires! 😊
As for areas of improvement on the web, if I may suggest, maybe you can put up tire ranks based on user's experience votes, provide information on what to look for when choosing tires vs individual nature of usage, highlight on "underdog" brands that people may not know etc.
Overall, I applaud the initiative of mytayar.com. Thank you for your effort. It has benefited me greatly and I am sure many others too. The thing you said in your email on how prices in workshops seem to base on gender, car type, plate number and appearance is sadly VERY true. Hopefully this brilliant initiative of yours could change that tradition for a better Malaysia. Kudos."
