What a hectic few months it has been!
From leak detection at a palm oil factory in the south, to another site for noise labelling measurement, and earlier at CREATE in Melaka for similar testing. Then came the online presentations — MIHA on Acoustic Camera for leak detection and noise source identification, IEM on Wireless CBM in offshore installations, and POSH on safeguarding hearing at the workplace: strategies and challenges.

The journey continued with ICVSSD 2026, and finally offshore at PM8E Seligi, measuring vibration on small bore connections.

Each step has been a new challenge, a new learning, and a new opportunity to push acoustic diagnostics and vibration diagnostics further across industries.

Networking in Noise & Vibration 🔊🤝

Last Monday, we had the opportunity to attend ICVSSD 2026 at the Olive Tree Hotel, Penang. Unlike the usual technical sessions, this time was more about reconnecting and mingling with familiar faces in the noise and vibration community.

It was refreshing to exchange ideas, share experiences, and strengthen bonds with colleagues and peers who continue to push the boundaries in this field. Sometimes, the most valuable insights come not from formal presentations, but from conversations over coffee with people who share the same passion.

Keeping Your Monitoring System Up to Date — Remotely

Another example of how technology and technical expertise come together.

Our team recently performed a remote firmware update for both the wireless vibration sensors and gateway from Erbessd Instrument, directly from our office.

With the system connected remotely, our staff was able to update the devices, verify the system status, and ensure the monitoring network remains ready for continuous vibration monitoring — without the need for an on-site visit.

This is more than just an update. It demonstrates the value of having a connected wireless monitoring system backed by a team that can provide remote technical support, system maintenance and configuration whenever required.

It’s been a few years since I last met with our valued partners at UiTM Shah Alam SMRI , and reconnecting brings me genuine happiness.
