Our office was filled with laughter, great food, and festive cheer during KJTS’ recent Raya celebration lunch! 🥳🍽️ There was also "ice-cream potong" too, yumz! 😛

It was wonderful to come together as one team to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri, strengthen our bonds, and enjoy delicious Raya treats right here in the office. Not to forget a special speech by the bosses. We also welcome our latest team members from iHandal. 😊 👍

Lestari Cooling Energy, our district cooling joint venture with Stonepeak, has welcomed KWAP as a new investor. KWAP is committing up to RM190 million through Dana Iklim+, Malaysia's first climate-focused investment initiative.

This brings the platform's total capitalisation to up to RM1.5 billion (approximately USD 380 million), combining the strengths of KJTS' operational track record, Stonepeak's global infrastructure expertise, and KWAP's institutional weight as Malaysia's national public sector pension fund.

District cooling is not just an efficiency play. It cuts total energy consumption by up to 50% and significantly lowers CO2 output compared to conventional cooling. At full deployment, Lestari Cooling Energy is projected to avoid over 70,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year.

This directly supports Malaysia's National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and positions the platform to serve the country's growing demand across urban development, industrial expansion, and the data centre sector.

KJTS Expands into Heat Recovery with Acquisition of iHandal

iHandal is the engineering group behind the patented Heatfuse heat recovery system. The technology is used across industrial, healthcare and hospitality sites in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and other ASEAN markets. 🌏

This move strengthens our shift from Cooling as a Service (CaaS) towards a broader Energy as a Service (EaaS) model. By integrating heat recovery into our core offering, we can optimise the full thermal cycle, from cooling generation to waste heat capture and reuse.

Heatfuse has demonstrated energy savings of about 25 percent in suitable applications through effective waste heat recovery. Having this capability in-house gives us greater control over design, integration, and long-term delivery.

A meaningful milestone for the Group as we deepen our presence in the Energy as a Service value chain.
