Senior Accounts Executive (Accounts Lead)

LocoLink is a growing hardware and building-materials retailer bringing better services to communities beyond the city.
We’re looking for someone who can independently handle our accounts, deliver reliable reports and follow discrepancies through to resolution.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and handle day-to-day accounting and month-end close across two companies and our growing store network
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain full-set accounts and deliver monthly management accounts by working day 10.
- Reconcile bank accounts and Xilnex POS records with SQL Accounting.
- Manage AP/AR, follow up on collections and prepare payment batches for approval.
- Handle inventory accounting, stock valuation and stock-count reconciliation.
- Review payroll, post payroll journals and reconcile statutory contributions.
- Handle SST and LHDN e-Invoicing matters, and liaise with auditors and the tax agent.
- Prepare cash-flow reports, combined management accounts and related-party reconciliations.
- Set up accounting records for new branches and companies as we expand.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Degree in Accounting, or completion of ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills, including recognised exemptions. Full ACCA qualification is an advantage.
- At least 4 years of accounting experience, including independently closing a full set and preparing management accounts.
- Experience handling more than one company or outlet.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Accounting and LHDN e-Invoicing.
- Able to work full-time on-site in Keningau.
Retail, wholesale or distribution experience is preferred. Audit-firm and manufacturing backgrounds are welcome. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for supplier and customer communication.
HOW YOU WORK MATTERS
You investigate discrepancies, follow up on missing documents and raise issues early. You can explain your figures and support accounting corrections with evidence.
