fans, High-Volume Low-Speed (HVLS) fans are designed to create and maintain air flow. However, thanks to their proportionally large blades, HVLS fans are able to move and disburse high volumes of air more efficiently and completely. The large columns of air produced by HVLS fans are able to travel further, due to the friction between moving and stationary air. Unlike conventional fans for residential use, HVLS fans move at a lower rotational speed. As a result, HVLS fans need very little energy to operate.
