The importance of sourcing for the best drill pipes and HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) drilling equipment cannot be overstressed.

First and foremast, besides the HDD rig, drill pipes and HDD drilling equipment constitute a big portion of initial capital investment. Secondly and more crucially, using the wrong choice of drill pipes and equipment may cause unnecessary hindrances or even total failures to the actual HDD work.

Here in MEI Trading, it is our main task to offer essential guidance to all our customers when they are purchasing drill pipes and drilling equipment. We require customers to inform us regarding the type of HDD rigs in use, actual distance and alignment of HDD crossings, subsurface soil condition and classification of underground pipes to be installed.

With the required information, MEI Trading’s sales engineers will recommend the most ideal set of drill pipes and drilling equipment fit for a particular HDD job. This is to make certain that our customers are able to purchase the proper set of tools without compromising their budget. It is MEI Trading’s culture to enable our customers to complete their projects on time and on budget with full commercial value and satisfaction.

Obviously, the quality of MEI Trading’s product is of utmost priority because we value our customers. Together with our partner, Dawn Drill (黎明钻具), we strive to provide our customers with products which meet and even exceed their expectations. Dawn Drill is a full line manufacturer of drill pipes and drilling equipment and accessories for HDD. Throughout the years, Dawn Drill has been investing in R & D and expanding the manufacturing capabilities.

Today, Dawn Drill carries an extensive selection of single-piece forged and friction welded drill pipes that are with all Chinese-manufactured HDD rigs and other international brands such as Ditch Witch, Vermeer and Case.

Our drill pipes feature double shoulders drill pipe tool joint that enables quick makeup and breakout during drilling. This feature also allows greater torsional capacity than the standard API connections (of similar sizes) which improves life span of drill pipes in highly deviated HDD works.

Dawn Drill employs the shot blasting method to improve the fatigue strength and corrosion resistance of our drill pipes and nitriding (heat treatment) process to increase the wear resistance of the thread (tool joint). All our drill pipes are forged from high quality steel to ensure that the end products meet the required S135 standard.

Apart from drill pipes, our product portfolio also includes sub-savers, drive chucks, swivels, pilot housing and backreamers. All our products are heat treated for maximum strength and durability and engineered to be customisable with most drilling rigs.
