At the recent inaugural Penang Green Industry Forum (PGIF) 2026, ViTrox reaffirmed its commitment to a greener manufacturing future. Representing the organisation, our Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Lim Kim Seng, engaged in a strategic panel discussion titled "Practical Pathways to Sustainable Manufacturing" alongside panellists from FREPENCA, Intel Corporation and Alliance Bank. He detailed our concrete steps toward sustainability, including generating over 20% of our electricity consumption through the installation of 4,375 onsite solar panels and leveraging our homegrown V-ONE AIoT platform for data-driven resource efficiency.
Beyond internal operations, ViTrox is committed to building a resilient local ecosystem by targeting at least 60% of procurement locally in Malaysia. As Mr. Lim shared, sustainability at ViTrox is not a mere reporting exercise but a reflection of our core purpose to contribute to society through compassionate innovation. By integrating our I.A.C.T.G. core values into our ESG governance, we are proud to support Penang’s vision of becoming a Green Manufacturing Hub by 2030 through collective commitment and shared learning.
Through this participation, ViTrox emphasises that the transition to a sustainable economy requires deep transparency and a collaborative spirit between industry, government, and financial institutions. We remain dedicated to sharing our journey and supporting our supply chain partners as we move purposefully toward a cleaner, more resilient industrial landscape together.
