Well, the truth is not that simple, every field have its own professional, so do concrete pumping. A good operator must be know not only forward / reverse pumping, symptoms of any pump before breakdown must be known also.

As the photo, the operator has fail to identify the piston ram has worn out and lead to the worn out on the deliver cylinder. Unfortunately till will lead to big repair and long down time!

Unfortunately, the following diesel has been use in one of the concrete pump until the engine has cease... Yup, it lead to a extreme high cost for repair now....

It's useless to blame who, how, when and why this can happen, that's why important to have experience operator to prevent this kind of thing happen....

Why all concrete pump has multiple pressure gauge on it?

A pressure gauge is important for concrete pump because it acts like the "health monitor" of a machine. It is like a machine's blood pressure monitor—it tells you whether the system is operating safely and efficiently, and helps detect problems before they become expensive breakdowns.

When it show:

-High hydraulic pressure may indicate a blockage in the concrete line or a valve issue.
-Low hydraulic pressure may suggest a worn hydraulic pump, internal leakage, or insufficient engine power.

By looking at the pressure gauge, a technician can quickly identify where to start checking instead of guessing.

So, it is important to keep your pressure gauge in working condition!
