Farm Rite Products Co. Ltd is a leading agribusiness company supporting smallholder farmers through innovative and sustainable agricultural solutions. Our services include greenhouse construction, irrigation systems, seed production, contract farming, extension services, and agricultural consulting. We also supply garlic and ginger to the local and regional markets.
We are looking for a results-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Sales and Marketing Officer.
Position: Sales and Marketing Officer (1)
Location: Mzuzu, Luwinga
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and visit potential clients including smallholder farmers, agro-dealers, and agribusinesses.
Develop and implement marketing plans to promote greenhouse kits, irrigation systems, seeds, and consulting services.
Conduct field demonstrations, farmer trainings, and product presentations.
Maintain accurate customer records and track sales performance.
Follow up on leads and close sales within set timelines.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales and market reports.
Work with the technical team to ensure installations and after-sales support.
Manage company social media pages and develop simple promotional content.
Assist in planning and participating in agricultural fairs and exhibitions.
Collect market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and customer needs.
Support contract farming programs by recruiting and guiding farmers.
Requirements
Diploma in Sales and Marketing.
Minimum of 1 year experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the agriculture sector.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of customer service and sales processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to achieve sales targets and work independently.
Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
Position: Production Officer (1)
Location: Mzuzu, Luwinga
We are seeking an experienced and committed professional to join our team as a Production Manager to lead seed production and ensure efficient, high-quality output across all operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and manage all seed production activities from land preparation to harvest and post-harvest handling.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet certified seed demand and contractual requirements.
Supervise field staff, out-growers, and seasonal workers to ensure timely field operations.
Enforce compliance with national seed regulations, certification standards, and environmental laws.
Maintain detailed production records for certification and traceability purposes.
Monitor field performance, pest and disease management, and seed quality testing.
Oversee storage, processing, and packaging of seed to preserve purity and viability.
Coordinate with the Seed Services Unit and other regulators for inspections and approvals.
Manage inventories of inputs, equipment, and finished seed stock.
Prepare regular production and compliance reports for management and regulators.
Train staff and farmers on good agricultural practices and updates in seed legislation.
Control production costs and recommend efficiency improvements.
Requirements
Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Seed Technology, or Production Management.
Minimum of 1 year experience in seed production or agricultural production management.
Knowledge of Malawi seed laws, certification procedures, and quality control standards.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic inventory management systems.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver within strict seasonal timelines.
Valid driver’s license added advantage
