WE’RE HIRING – CNC MACHINIST/MARBLE CUTTER

RLAUTIER Natural Stone Workshop is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team!

Your Role

Operate and program 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery for cutting, shaping, drilling and finishing marble, granite, quartz and other stone materials. Interpret CAD drawings, ensure precision and quality, maintain machinery and collaborate with our production and installation teams.

Requirements

Proven CNC experience in the stone fabrication industry. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and technical drawings is an advantage. Candidates must reside in Malta and hold a valid Maltese residence permit or residence ID card. Reliability, attention to detail, safety awareness and the ability to communicate in English, Maltese and/or Italian are essential.

About the Role 🌞

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our stone fabrication team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating advanced CNC machinery used in the cutting, shaping, and processing of marble, granite, quartz, and other natural or engineered stone materials for premium residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC machinery including 3-axis and 5-axis stone fabrication machines.
• Interpret CAD drawings, digital templates, cutting layouts, and production schedules.
• Perform precision cutting, drilling, shaping, polishing, and finishing operations according to technical specifications.
• Ensure material optimization, dimensional accuracy, and high-quality workmanship.
• Conduct routine machine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor tooling, blade wear, water flow systems, and machine performance.
• Collaborate with production, fabrication, and installation teams to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safety-compliant work environment.
Requirements
• Proven experience operating CNC machinery within the marble, granite, or stone fabrication industry.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, DXF files, and shop drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
