Maintenance Technician to join our team, for repairing and assembling mechanical equipment and machinery that are used in the manufacturing plant.

Job details:
- Making both minor and major repairs on various machinery and equipment.
- Carrying out welding and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Carrying out several day-to-day activities, including creating and reading blueprints.
- To create and implement maintenance procedures and schedules for all the systems.
- To dis-assemble & re-assemble mechanical & electrical components for refurbishment purposes.
- To use the analytical and problem-solving skills to run tests on structural systems to determine the root cause of malfunction, devise a plan of action and troubleshoot these malfunctions by replacing the necessary components.
- To adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing.

Skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills which enable a mechanical fitter to solve and repair system issues efficiently and effectively.
- Teamwork, as a mechanical fitter may be required to collaborate with other team members.
- Adequate knowledge of system structures and how to troubleshoot systems by utilizing the knowledge of how the system was designed to perform.
- Mechanical skills, which enable a mechanical fitter to understand which tools to use and how they should be used.
- Basic knowledge in use of Word & Excel.

Requirements:
- Past experience in a similar role.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Academic qualifications related to the post will be considered an asset.

The R.A & Sons Manufacturing Ltd team is growing and we are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Gozo. This is a senior leadership position offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on operational performance, product quality, and the future growth of the company.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the Directors, the Production Manager will have overall responsibility for planning, directing, and optimising all production activities. The successful candidate will ensure manufacturing operations are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving operational challenges, and is passionate about developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and direction to all production personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
• Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor production performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to increase productivity, improve workflow, reduce waste, and optimise manufacturing costs.
• Work closely with the Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless production planning and ex*****on.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for an experienced manufacturing professional with strong leadership capabilities and a proven ability to improve operational performance.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field and / or at least 5 years experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in the construction materials or building products industry will be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• A sound understanding of quality management systems and Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
