Asia-Pacific Yacht Industry High-Level Forum 2020

An integral part of the Macau Yacht Show 2020, the Asia-Pacific Yacht Industry High-Level Forum 2020 has become a key platform for connecting China to the international boating community. This year was a combination of live and virtual presentations, with speakers presenting live from Macau and Hong Kong, and online from China, Australia and Switzerland.

The Forum that was bi-lingual with live video streaming focused topics that included: Development of Boating; Cooperation of Yachting Industry and Financial institutions, and Marine Economy with reference to the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Wang Yong, (Nam Kwong Group) opened the Forum by saying, “It is a great opportunity for the industry to work together to build a marine culture in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The Speakers were: Fabiomassimo Discoli (Ferretti Group APAC); Lawrence Chow (Hong Kong Boating Industry Association); Stuart Hu (Sanya Central Business District); Raphael Beaudrey (Rosemont Trustee (Asia) Ltd); Olivier Blanchet (BNP Paribas Wealth Management HK); Edwin Liu (Hill Dickinson); Leah Trafford (SailGP) and Huan Wen (Chairman, Yacht Industry Association of GBA).

Final day for Macau Yacht Show 2020

Enjoy all the water-based activities at the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Macau Yacht Show (MYS) at Macau Fisherman’s Wharf 澳門漁人碼頭. Macau residents and visitors can experience the boating lifestyle first-hand and go onboard luxury motorboats and sailing yachts. There is also a wealth of Watersports activities to participate in from sailing, to SUP boarding, rowing and family-centred fun. The Pearl River Delta along with the new trade free zone in Hainan will have an important role to play as China’s engages more positively with the yachting lifestyle.

Organised by the Nam Kwong International Conference and Exhibition Co. Ltd, China National Machinery Industry Corporation Co. Ltd and the China Ocean Aviation Group Ltd, and co-organised by the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the Macau Yacht Show 2020 will be held in conjunction with two other major exhibitions, a car and aviation show. All three events are organised by the Nam Kwong Group concurrently, with the China (Macau) International Automobile Import and Exposition held at the Venetian; and the Macau Business Aviation Exhibition at the Macau Airport. The three shows have seen substantial growth, especially in recent years.

Listen from international professionals Edward Liu, Legal Director & Counsel with Hill Dickinson LLP; Leah Trafford, Australia Event & Commercial Director of SailGP; and Huan Wen, Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Yacht Industry Association.

The trio will discuss how GBA initiatives can be implemented, the economic impact of major events and the improved yacht registration system that will promote yacht charter business in the GBA.

The 10th Macau Yacht Show, organised by the NamKwong Exhibition Co and The Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, is set to run from the 29th October to the 1st November at Fisherman's Wharf in Macau.
