၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ် ၊ မတ်လ ၂၈ ရက်နေ့တွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၌ ငလျင်ဖြစ်ပွါးပြီးနောက် Yoma Group သည် ငလျင်ဒဏ်ထိ ဒေသများ၌ အရေးပေါ်ကယ်ဆယ်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းများကို ချက်ချင်းလုပ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ပြီး အစားအသောက်များ၊ လူသုံးကုန်ပစ္စည်းများ၊ ဆေးဘက်ဆိုင်ရာဝန်ဆောင်မှုများ၊ သယ်ယူပို့ဆောင်ရေးနှင့် အခြားဝန်ဆောင်မှုဆိုင်ရာ ထောက်ပံ့မှုများဖြင့် ကူညီပံ့ပိုးပေးခဲ့ပါသည်။

ပြန်လည်ထူထောင်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းစဥ်အနေဖြင့် ငလျင်ကြောင့် ပြိုကျပျက်စီးခဲ့ရသည့် မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသရှိ တောင်ဘီလူအထက်တန်းကျောင်း (အင်းဝ) ရှိကျောင်းအဆောက်အအုံများကို အသစ်ပြန်လည်ဆောက်လုပ်လှူဒါန်းခဲ့ပါသည်။ ထိုစီမံကိန်းကြောင့် ကျောင်းသား၊ ကျောင်းသူ ၁,၀၀၀ နီးပါးနှင့် ဆရာ၊ ဆရာမ ၄၀ ခန့်အတွက် ကောင်းမွန်ပြီး လုံခြုံစိတ်ချရသော ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်တစ်ခုကို ပြန်လည်ဖန်တီးပေးနိုင်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

ပြန်လည်ဆောက်လုပ်ခြင်းကို Yoma Land မှ ဦးဆောင်၍ စာသင်ဆောင်နှင့် ကျောင်းခန်းမဆောင်တို့ပါဝင်သည့် အဆောက်အဦများကို ကုန်ကျစရိတ် ကျပ်သိန်းပေါင်း ၁ သောင်းကျော်သုံးစွဲ၍ အသစ်ပြန်လည်ဆောက်လုပ်လှူဒါန်းရာ ပြီးခဲ့သည့် အပတ်တွင် ကျောင်းဆောင်သစ်လွှဲပြောင်းပေးအပ်ခြင်း အခမ်းအနားကို ကျင်းပခဲ့ပါသည်။

When natural disasters strike, emergency relief saves lives. But it’s the long-term rebuilding that truly restores communities.

In Myanmar’s Mandalay Region, Yoma Group has completed the rebuilding of a school that was destroyed in the March 2025 earthquake, restoring a safe and improved learning environment for nearly 1,000 students and 40 teachers.

Led by Yoma Land, the project delivered new classroom facilities and a school hall, with an investment of over MMK 10,000 lakhs, and was officially handed over last week after seven months of dedicated work.

The school - Taung Belu Basic Education High School (Innwa) in Tada-U Township - was among many structures affected by the earthquake. In its immediate aftermath, Yoma Group and its subsidiaries supported relief efforts with food, medical care, and essential supplies across impacted communities.

This project reflects a continued commitment not just to respond in times of crisis, but to support long-term recovery in ways that create lasting impact.

Our Yoma Micro Power (YMP) team outdid themselves recently by designing and delivering a portable solar generator for disaster response. What’s so special about that?

📌 From concept to sketch to field deployment in 10 days.
📌 Designed and purpose-built using available resources… a trailer, floodlight masts, PV cells and batteries.
📌 It can charge 50+ mobile devices simultaneously and powers four high-lumen floodlights.

This mobile solar unit now provides area lighting and phone charging for displaced families in the tent encampments at SinKar Village in Mandalay - giving them light, safety, and connection when it’s most needed.

Our team was able to deploy the mobile solar power unit during the Thingyan and New Year holidays, providing a beacon as volunteers work tirelessly and families rebuild their lives.

ငလျင်ပြီးနောက် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ အချို့သော ကျေးလက်ဒေသများ အထူးသဖြင့် လူအရောက်နည်းသော ဒေသများတွင် အခက်အခဲများကို ဆက်လက်ရင်ဆိုင်နေရဆဲဖြစ်ပါသည်။

Many villages across Myanmar, especially in remote areas, continue to face immense hardship in the wake of the recent earthquake.

One such village is Pone Na Su in Amarapura, Mandalay, where hundreds of families are working to rebuild their lives. Our Chairman, Melvyn Pun, recently visited the community to support ongoing relief efforts.

Home to nearly 300 families, Pone Na Su and Tane Pyar suffered significant damage, with more than 80 homes destroyed and the loss of several lives.

With essential supplies still limited, our team delivered 300 meal kits containing rice, oil, dry rations, as well as LED lamps and flashlights to help meet urgent needs. To support longer-term recovery, we also provided bamboo poles and tarpaulins to help families construct temporary shelters, offering protection and a foundation for rebuilding.

We remain committed to doing our part to help them recover and move forward.

In the weeks following the earthquake, Yoma Heavy Equipment has remained actively engaged on the ground,helping to clear debris and restore access in some of the hardest-hit areas.

From schools and local markets to private hospitals, monasteries, and residential neighborhoods, our teams have been working site by site to create safer spaces for communities to begin their recovery.

Each cleared location represents more than just physical progress. Monasteries are once again offering sanctuary to displaced families. Hospitals are regaining capacity to care for the injured. Markets are reopening to support daily livelihoods. And schools are beginning preparations to welcome students back.

Standing with Frontline Responders This Thingyan

While Thingyan is traditionally a time for rest and renewal, many across Myanmar have spent the season on the frontlines of earthquake relief.

Our teams at YKKO and KFC Myanmar remained active throughout the holidays, delivering food and drinks to support their efforts.

Meals were provided to A Naw Mar social welfare and rescue teams, the Mahar Rescue Organisation and their patients, medical teams stationed at Mingalar Thiri Stadium, and those sheltering in temporary camps and monasteries in Mandalay.

From rescue workers and healthcare teams - these are the people holding our communities together in a time of crisis. We are grateful for the opportunity to stand with them, offering small comforts as they continue their essential work.

Supporting Inle’s Recovery, One Small Act at a Time

Recovery is unfolding quietly across the Inle region in Myanmar through small, steady acts of kindness and collaboration.

During Thingyan, a volunteer team - including colleagues from Memories Group - came together with local partners to support affected communities.

With the help of contributions from the Rotary Club (Greater Yangon), Methodist Church Myanmar, Future Kidz School, Aura Beauty Lounge, Yangon agencies, and many generous individuals, the team provided medical care to over 300 people in Han Cho, Ywar Gyi Taung Out, Kay Lar and Kyay Zar Gone villages.

Essential supplies - emergency shelter materials, solar lamps, food, and water filtration systems - were also delivered.

In villages like Kay Lar, where families are still coming to terms with loss, these items are more than aid - they are building blocks for daily life to begin again.

Recovery takes time. But with many hands and a shared sense of purpose, every small step brings hope closer.

It’s been nearly three weeks since the earthquake — but for many, the hardest part has only just begun.

At Kan Taw Nadi Rescue Center in Mandalay, our Pun Hlaing Hospitals team continues to provide medical support and distribute essential supplies to those still displaced. Blankets, clothing, and small comforts are helping patients cope with the long days and nights away from home.

In quieter moments, our doctors and nurses sit beside patients, helping manage chronic conditions disrupted by the crisis - from missed medications to untreated injuries.

Earlier in the response, our medical staff assisted the Fire Brigade Department in Mandalay by administering tetanus vaccinations to rescue teams. With many responders working with minimal protection among collapsed buildings and sharp debris, the risk of infection is high. A single cut can become life-threatening — and timely vaccination can make all the difference.

These are the parts of disaster response that don’t always make headlines. The slower, steadier care. The long follow-through.

Yoma Group’s Earthquake Relief Efforts in Bhone Oo Village

Located 365 miles from Mandalay, Bhone Oo village experienced severe damage in last month’s earthquake in Myanmar. About 80% of homes were destroyed.

The impact on the community has been significant, with an estimated 260 to 300 casualties, including both injuries and fatalities.

On the ground, our team - led by Miki - delivered essential food items such as rice, cooking oil, and noodles to support more than 1,500 displaced families.

This effort is part of our ongoing support for communities affected by the disaster, as they begin the long road to recovery.

Yoma Heavy Equipment Assists with Post-Quake Debris Removal

Cracked walls, blocked roads, and damaged infrastructure - last month’s earthquake has left many communities across central Myanmar facing a long road to recovery.

To support ongoing clean-up efforts, Yoma Heavy Equipment has deployed backhoe loaders and excavators to affected areas to assist with debris removal.

While these are small steps in a much larger recovery process, having the right equipment on the ground is helping communities begin the work of rebuilding - clearing debris, reopening access routes, and gradually restoring a sense of normalcy.

It has been more than two weeks since the earthquake struck, but recovery doesn’t always come in the form of big announcements. Often, it’s in the quiet, steady, steady work. A roof patched up. Clean water delivered. Supplies reaching yet another village. A hot meal shared.

Over the past week, Yoma Group and our entities have focused on doing just that - providing the essentials, one step at a time.

Together, we’ve distributed over 2,000 bags of rice, more than 2,000 bottles of cooking oil, drinking water, and ready-to-eat meals to meet immediate food needs.

We’ve also delivered 1,000 sleeping mats, 1,200 blankets, 1,200 mosquito nets, 2,000 clothing items, and solar lamps to help displaced families manage daily life with dignity and comfort.

Memories Group Joins Forces for Myanmar Earthquake Relief

The Memories Group team’s efforts were focused on affected communities in Pyaw Bwe, Mandalay, and Sein Pann in the wake of the earthquake.

By teaming up with local organisations, they provided mobile medical services, supplied safety equipment to rescue teams, and helped coordinate relief efforts.

Their response was supported by the Yoma Group family, including Yoma Motors Mandalay (VW, Ducati, Mitsubishi, Shine Ray) for their free vehicle servicing, and Pun Hlaing Hospital for emergency medical supplies.
