On 8 August, JOMOO and our local distributor RND Interiors, proudly supported the Victorian Business Excellence Awards Gala as a Major Sponsor. Presented by the Asian Business Association of Whitehorse (ABAW), the event celebrated the entrepreneurs, leaders and organisations contributing to Victoria’s diverse business community.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese attended the Gala and delivered an address.

The evening also offered a valuable opportunity to connect with local business and community representatives and deepen our engagement in the Australian market.

On the Nalati Sky Grassland in Xinjiang, beneath the Tianshan Mountains, sits a smart restroom we designed with JD.com.

Building a good restroom in a remote natural landscape is harder than it looks, and we were less interested in adding a structure to the grassland than in designing one that belonged there.

Our new article looks at how the project came together: the thinking behind its design, the materials we chose, and how it fits into the way JOMOO approaches public spaces, from cultural landmarks to open wilderness.

During his presentation, Scene Lab founder Wu Sheng referenced JOMOO as an example in illustrating how companies can understand different local contexts and translate everyday challenges into relevant solutions.

In Wu Sheng's methodology, "context" is not simply the background to innovation. It means understanding a city through its infrastructure, living environment and people's everyday needs—and allowing those realities to shape how technology is applied.

As the country's highest hall of history and culture, the National Museum of China welcomes nearly 22,000 visitors a day. JOMOO was chosen to design its restroom spaces, turning them into an extension of the collection.

The design speaks to the museum's heritage while quietly caring for the visitors. Motifs from the museum's own treasures shape the space, while intelligent, hygienic, and accessible design quietly looks after every guest who passes through.
