GeoLab/Laboratory of Environmental Quality Monitoring Laborator ce activează în domeniul executării analizelor apei şi solului. Two of them are accredited by ISO 17025.

Center of Environmental Chemistry and Environmental Protection of the Institute of Chemistry (CEChEP) has three scientific laboratories: Laboratory of Environmental Quality Monitoring, Laboratory of Ecological Chemistry and Laboratory of Water Quality Analysis. CEChEP has databases of pollution sources and groundwater quality for all territory of the Republic of Moldova . Technologies for water p

urification and polluted soil remediation are elaborated and tested in this center. Environmental Risk Assessment is one of the scientific direction of the center too. CEChEP was involved in waste management projects on regional level from Republic of Moldova. This multidisciplinary Scientific Center is focused on the solving of the following problems:

implementation of new analytical methods and strengthening of institution capacity for the analysis of chemical and biological parameters of water status according to Water Framework Directive;
Geo-database and GIS elaboration of water resources for data processing and on-line access to the information for decision makers;
development and implementation of modern technology in environmental measurement and observation for the optimization of surface and groundwater monitoring network: remote sensing, chemical and biological sensors, etc;
promotion of scientific activity for more effective cooperation between different institutions in water sector;
organization of the service for water quality and quantity analysis, civil engineering and water management (including waste management);
personal training in field of water analysis.
