At many facilities, access control is more than just “card = access granted.”
When security requirements increase, so does the complexity behind each decision.
Here are some of the key types of advanced access logic used in Sigur:
🔸 Multi-factor authentication
Combining identifier + PIN or biometrics to ensure the person is actually who they claim to be.
🔸 Security-authorized access
Entry is granted only after approval from a security guard. It is ideal for inspections and additional checks.
🔸 Additional equipment
Access will be granted only upon successful check by the additional equipment, such as breath analyzers or metal detectors.
🔸 Conditional access
Access depends on employees' custom parameters that can be dynamically updated in real time.
🔸 Two persons rule
Access is allowed only when two (or more) authorized individuals authenticate together.
🔸 Accompanied access
Certain employees can enter restricted areas only with follow-up authorization of another responsible employee.
All of these methods can be combined to create even stricter access rules.
For example, one of the most popular access control scenarios is achieved through the integration of Sigur and Suprema, where, in addition to identifying by a card, a person must also undergo facial recognition.
And for high-security areas, a two-person access rule may apply: first, one employee must use their card and undergo facial recognition at the terminal, and then the second employee must do the same.
