The multi-purpose auto-cut splicer specially designed for high-value technical yarns

The 181 has been developed for the forefront of textile technology. It combines Airbond’s 80 year’s experience with our cutting edge 3D printing technology to produce a product that perfectly fits in modern textile manufacturing.

Designed from the ground up to take advantage of 3D printing – the 181 is lightweight, easy to use, and can handle a large range of yarns. The splicer features a large string up area for ease of use, and imprinted symbols for fool proof operation.

While making use of complex mechanics, the splicer itself is extremely robust and needs minimal maintenance, which is very simple.

Hand-held, fixed, or rail-mounted, the 181 can meet most factory needs, and if circumstances change, new 181 bodies to the required configuration can be printed quickly by Airbond. The splicer can be supplied with a blast timer, or with a flow control system which supplies low-pressure air to the blast chamber, while keeping full pressure for the cutters. The cutters are adjustable, to enhance performance.

Airbond has been making tough, reliable splicers for ordinary textiles for years. Now their research has led to the introduction of new products for the composites industry, making joints in difficult yarns such as glass, carbon, acrylic precursors, and panox. The technology delivers game-changing improvements in operating costs for yarn processors in the textiles and the composites industry. Airbond has invested heavily in R&D as previously splicing carbon or glass fibres with compressed air turned them to dust as they were so brittle, even though strong longitudinally.
That research led to unique machines which for the first time spliced modern composite materials. The innovation in these machines lies in control of the air with newly developed accessories. The splicer bodies themselves were of conventional design and took some time to develop.
When the machines began to sell, the company found that the resins used in many composites processes adhered to the splicer surfaces, inhibiting their performance. They were also asked to splice yet bigger yarns, and to develop more sophisticated splicers. Airbond overcame these challenges with more investment in innovation.
New designs of machine keep the splicing units hidden and protected inside a sturdy moulded shell, making them much more durable. The outer shells are inexpensive, so that they can be viewed as consumables if covered with resin while the splicers themselves remain pristine.
Airbond remains heavily committed to R&D and is adopting revolutionary methods of manufacture during 2019. The company exports to 40 countries worldwide with local support provided by its network of agents and distributors, including in the USA.

SER Stenter Ram Makinesi / SER Stenter Machine
- SER STENTER series; are the machines, each point of which is manufactured carefully, to provide the most efficient operational productivity possible with low energy expenses for finishing operations on the textile products.
- Unique chamber isolation feature, cross fan which is designed to achieve efficient us eh eoaft and homogenous air flow – provides energy saving and capacity increase in production between 8%-15% compared to the traditional machines.
- Thanks toth e heating and caiirrc ulation sections, which are placed crossly at intervals of three meters, higher air circulation gain and homogenous drying performance is achieved.
- Independent air-flow system is achieved through PLC control thanks to two inverters and four fans in each chamber. Air flow in the lower and upper nozzles is independently controlled through two inverters. This way, desired fixing and feeding value is achieved on even the most delicate fabrics.
- Thanks to its nozzle structure which can be easily demounted and cleaning doors, the nozzles can be quickly and easily cleaned without being removed from the machine. In addition, internal access doors on both sides of the machine provide easy access to the nozzles.
- Diameters of the nozzle holes and numbers of holes are designed with flow simulation analysis and calculations to achieve the most efficient air flow. Air speeds in the nozzle holes are tested in different conditions and equal edge to edge air speed performance is achieved. Slot type nozzle applications are available for coating applications and finishing operations on the fabrics with high pile; and different applications are specially manufactured for lower and upper nozzle distances.
- Fabric width control can be gradually increased and decreased (5%-10% according to the type of the fabric) between the chambers thanks to the width adjustment spindles on one in two chambers or on each chamber according to customers demand.

Inlet Units
Single foulard, double foulard, high input, batcher unwinding, centrally driven batcher unwinding and for non-stop fabric working possibility.
Outlet Units
Fabric outlet options can be produced as alternatives which are different in types as sample roll-up, non-stop roll-up, batcher, tangential batcher, centrally – driven batcher and plaiter type.
Foulard Units
- It is the standard foulard unit used for squeezing and finishing processes on the knitted and woven fabrics.
Hydrolic Foulard Units
- Suitable fabric working range is 1600 mm – 3600 mm.
- There is banana cylinder or spreading cylinder covered with rubber before the squeezing cylinders.
Operator Platform
The fabrics with thin piles on the surface (especially velvet type fabrics), the shape of the piles that become reclined to left and right following the pretreatments (brushing, raising etc.) is distorted.
Entry Rail Options
Different types of rail applications at the length of 1.5m, 3m, 3m+1.5m, 3m+3m, 3m+3m+3m are available for finishing operations on the woven, knitted and home textile fabrics.
Pinning Groups
There are opportunities of using edge spreader units of mechanical type, finger type and pneumatic-aired type as alternatives to different types of fabrics.
Edge Cutting Unit
The frame is manufactured as completely stainless.
OverHead Glue System
Edge glue disc can be approached to the disc chain pins as much as it is desired and minumum fabric wastage is achieved.
Steaming Unit
It is mounted to the rails at “V” angle and in a suspended form.
Filter System
Special structured filter can be used for different types of fabrics and machine combinations.
Nozzle Structure
It has a nozzle structure which is galvanized, long lasting and easy to demount.
Heating Systems
Heating systems are provided as thermal oil, natural gas, steam or double heating system (thermal oil+gas, steam+gas) option are used together.
Insulation Structure
Thanks to the chamber and cover insulation structure, specially developed differently from traditional machines, it provides energy saving in the range of 8%-15%.

It is full automatic roll packaging machine, which is integrated to fabric quality control machines for woven and knitted fabric types and pack the fabric rolls automatically, after packing process the rolls are addressed to the roll carry trolleys(bins).
Sealing operation is is carried out by ‘‘thermal system’’. Heated wire seals and cut the PE film at the same time. The roll is transfered linearly to the edge closure station. The roll’s both edge is closed and sealed by the same Thermic system, the overage PE is cut and threw to the waste box below.
Possibility of packaging fabric rolls in different sizes. Minumum Polyethylene film and energy consumption.
Full Automatic Roll Packaging Machine has LEISTER Hot Air Blowers on both sides for to shrink the Packed roll for tight and clear shape of packaging. This machine doesn't require Heating Tunnel, thanks to LEISTER Hot Air Blowers huge amount of electrical energy is saved.
