π οΈ Inside a Ball Bearing β Technical Quick Guide
πΉ Outer Ring
The stationary raceway that provides the outer rolling path for the balls. Designed to withstand radial loads and maintain structural stability.
πΉ Inner Ring
The rotating raceway mounted on the shaft. Transfers rotational motion and typically carries the majority of the dynamic load.
πΉ Rolling Elements (Balls)
Precision-machined steel balls that minimize friction by enabling point contact between the raceways. They support both radial and limited axial loads.
πΉ Cage (Retainer)
A metal or polymer separator that positions the balls evenly, prevents contact between adjacent balls, and ensures uniform load distribution and high-speed stability.
πΉ Seals / Shields
Rubber seals or metal shields that protect the raceway from contaminants and retain lubrication. Essential for extending bearing life and reducing maintenance requirements.
β¨ Precision. Reliability. Performance.
