This vessel serves a vital role in offshore operations, facilitating security crew changes for commercial ships transiting the Somali Sea to protect against pirate threats.

The Case Study:

Application: Marine Propulsion | CAT C7 Engine.

The Problem: The starboard engine exhibited abnormal noise, significant performance loss, and overheating while at Galle Harbour.

The Findings: Our diagnostic team identified a fatigued, broken valve spring and a compromised head gasket.

WE executed a complete cylinder head rebuild and precision assembly. The project concluded with a successful sea trial in the Southern Sea, ensuring the Penguin 7 was 100% ready to return to its international security duties.

Radiator Overhaul – Cummins QSK60 | 2MVA Generator

Ms Hannovers Engineering completed a full radiator rebuild and restoration for a Cummins QSK60 – 2MVA generator engine belonging to Michelin Lanka (formerly Camso Loadstar).

Scope of work included:

• Complete disassembly
• Internal inspection and damage assessment
• Chemical descaling and cleaning
• Core repair and restoration
• Reassembly and sealing
• Final pressure testing to ensure system integrity
The radiator had significant internal scaling affecting heat transfer efficiency. Following our cleaning and rebuild process, the unit was restored to optimal operational condition and verified through controlled pressure testing.
