Enhancing Histopathology Slide Storage at Wathupitiwala Hospital: A CSR Initiative by Energy Surge Pvt Ltd

We’re excited to announce a recent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project aimed at improving healthcare efficiency in Sri Lanka. Energy Surge Pvt Ltd, led by our volunteers, has donated two custom-designed, sheet metal storage drawers to Wathupitiwala Hospital’s Histopathology section. Each drawer can store up to 10,000 patient slides, ensuring they are safely kept for up to 10 years—a significant upgrade from the previous cardboard box storage system.

These slides are essential to making informed medical decisions for patients, and this high-capacity slide storage system not only protects against breakage but also conserves valuable foreign reserves by avoiding costly imports. Plus, the durable, scalable design can now be replicated for other hospitals across Sri Lanka, providing a long-term, sustainable healthcare solution.

🔹 September 24: Final Delivery
