Another Challenging Project Successfully Completed!

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the Borehole Investigation Works for the Central Expressway Project – Section 03, Package 2, Q2/Lot 02 (CH. 24+800 km to CH. 26+830 km), Rambukkana to Galagedara. LOT 2 - LOA - RMC Geo Lab (1)

🎯 Nearly 70 boreholes successfully completed!

This project was a true test of our technical capability, determination, and teamwork.

⛰️ Challenging terrain made shifting and positioning heavy drilling machinery extremely difficult.

🌧️ Rainy weather conditions continuously tested our field operations.

🪨 Extremely hard, high-strength quartzite rock made drilling and pe*******on exceptionally demanding.

Despite these challenges, our team remained focused and determined. Through careful planning, technical expertise, experience, and strong teamwork, we successfully completed nearly 70 boreholes and brought another demanding ground investigation project to a successful conclusion.

A huge appreciation to our engineers, geologists, drilling crews, operators, supervisors, and everyone behind the scenes who made this achievement possible.

🛣️ A Successful Day of Learning, Knowledge Sharing & Professional Development!

We are delighted to share the highlights from the successfully concluded Professional Development Workshop on “Austroads Granular Pavement Design & Geosynthetic Stabilisation of Soft Subgrades,” held on 04 September 2026 at the CHPB Auditorium, Battaramulla.

The workshop brought together professionals from the engineering and construction sectors for an engaging, industry-focused learning experience covering Austroads pavement design, traffic loading assessment, mechanistic–empirical design principles, and geosynthetic stabilisation techniques for weak subgrades.

A special appreciation goes to our distinguished resource person, Associate Professor Chaminda Gallage, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia, for sharing his extensive knowledge, practical insights, and real-world experience with the participants. 👏

Engineering challenges push us to innovate and perform better. 💪⚙️

Our team is currently carrying out a ground improvement project at the Maligawatta Sewage Pump Station in Colombo to facilitate the installation of a pipeline 10m below ground level.

The work involves drilling boreholes up to 11m depth using a drilling rig and performing pressure grouting with grout pumps. Despite the complex ground conditions and challenging working environment, nearly 50% of the work has been successfully completed, and the remaining work is progressing according to a well-planned ex*****on strategy.

This progress is a result of the strong commitment, teamwork, and dedication of our entire staff working tirelessly on-site.
