Industrial High Skilled Manufacturing:

Leveraging our proven engineering and industrial capabilities, we are establishing Cambodia's first systematic SME development infrastructure. Through strong private/government partnerships with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MOLVT) and Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), and strategic partners including European and local companies we have secured official endorsement and collaborative agreements for upgrading Cambodia's Industrial Technical Institute (ITI) network.

We have two legs in this business development, firstly the SME Development, the investment vehicle from where return of investment is collected, secondly is the not less important; - SME Resource Center, as the vocational training input to the Vocational Education contracts with the industrial sector.

* ITI today offer training and hereafter they must find internship / jobs and vocational contracts to the student, said by Management to be very complicated and not successful.

* The SME Development brings students from companies Vocational Contracts, and the ITI center to deliver what is required and estimated. We end up with around 75% at the working place (company) and 25% at SME Resource Center (ITI Training Center) focused on the actual demand.

* The SME Resource Center productivity and efficiency to increase and student can see a purpose with why they are at the training center, prepare to get back to their job at the company.

As expressed by MISTI at official meeting, there are many "Associations" in Cambodia, they are all being encouraged to deliver from all their hard work.

Also difficult to identify the outcome from the many MOU's signed, when walking through a facility as ITI in "Mechanic (welding & machinery)" there are buildings and asset / machinery for millions of US$, 14 Teachers, 10 students only and the facility is not utilized to it's maximum.

The industrial sector is not as popular as "automotive" and "air conditioning", at where there are hundreds of students, this is what we intend to change through SME Development of the industrial sector.

Investments seem not to have included education of Teachers, this we can change in close collaboration and within 5-years we could turn this up-side-down to a very popular and attractive training center.

Confederation of Cambodian Industry (CI) could be an important step forward, this could gather all industrial sector companies and open for the vocational contracts.

In Scandinavia each country (Denmark, Norway and Sweden) the Confederation of Industry is the most powerful organization with a saying to the politicians, service members and resources (employees).

There are several interests in Cambodia, we are not saying it is easy, but through hard work, information and development some of these Associations / Forums could merge into CI and together become a very strong legitimate organization which is to support the Government / Cambodia.

Working together will enable us to leverage each other’s assets, connections, creativity, and expertise to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes that satisfy individual partner’s development objectives as well as business objectives.
