SANY SAC300T Saved All!
After 36 days’ rescue efforts, all the four men trapped in a collapsed mine in Pingyi County, China were rescued on January 29th at around 22:47 with SANY SAC300T. It is confirmed that they are all in stable condition.
On December 25th, 2015, a gypsum mine collapsed in Pingyi County, Shandong Province when 29 people were working underground. Until January 23rd, 2016, 11 miners were rescued, 1 confirmed dead. 17 people were still trapped underground, among whom 13 lost touch and 4 made contact with rescuers and in stable condition.
On the second day after the accident, chief engineer of SAC300T project Mr. Xie Tao, hydraulic engineer Mr. Jian taofeng, electrical engineer Mr. He Zixin, mechanical engineer Mr. Huang Xiping and many other technical experts from SANY Hoisting Machinery BU arrived at the site and worked for over 30 days.
Holes were first drilled near the location where workers were trapped. After making contact with the miners, they used a larger diameter drill to lift them out. With several drilling rigs’ continuous operation, a life channel was built 29 days later.
On January 29th at around 20:30, SAC300T arrived at the site. At 21:05, the first miner was saved. At 22:47 all four people were successfully lift out the mine.
For the past 36 days, SAC300T and staff from Hoisting Machinery BU have withstood the freezing cold winter and kept working day and night. Since involvement in Chile mining rescue in 2010, SANY Hoisting Machinery BU has made another important progress in developing deep mine rescue equipment at national level.
