Mercedes benz w204 harman kardon retrofit.

1/4 — Getting the hardware

I started by sourcing the complete OEM Harman Kardon setup: the 10 speakers, amplifier and wiring harness. Getting the correct OEM parts was important because I wanted the system to work as close to factory as possible.

2/4 — Interior teardown

Next came the fun part 😂. I stripped down the interior to access all the speaker locations and ran the Harman Kardon wiring harness. The factory speakers were removed and replaced with the HK speakers.

3/4 — Coding

Once all the hardware and wiring were in place, I coded the head unit to recognize the Harman Kardon system. This was probably the most technical part of the retrofit—making sure the coding and audio configuration matched the new amplifier and speaker setup.

4/4 — Put everything back together

After testing the system and making sure everything was working, I put the interior back together.

And just like that, the W204 went from the standard audio system to OEM Harman Kardon. 🔊
