On May 5, we had the honor of participating in an academic exchange on supermicrosurgical treatment for lymphedema at Peking University Shougang Hospital, with Dr. Akitatsu Hayashi as the invited speaker.

The exchange provided valuable insights into the clinical application of supermicrosurgery and fostered meaningful international dialogue in the field of lymphedema treatment. We learned a great deal from Dr. Hayashi’s experience and perspective.

Advancing Precision in Lymphedema Care: Highlights from Tianjin

From May 2–6, the 1st Tianjin Lymphedema Integrated Care and Comprehensive Management Conference was held at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital.

We would like to thank Dr. Akitatsu Hayashi for his valuable contribution and for sharing his clinical experience at the event. In his presentation, he introduced advanced techniques and perspectives from Japan, offering valuable insights into LVA (lymphaticovenular anastomosis), along with a comprehensive set of practical recommendations for preoperative planning and postoperative management, providing valuable insights for the discussion.

During the session, Dr. Hayashi also shared his clinical use of our solutions, including:

・CROWNJUN USP 11-0 and 12-0 ultra-fine sutures

We were proud to support APFSRM 2026 in Bali, Indonesia, where surgeons, faculty, and partners came together for a meaningful program dedicated to microsurgery and supermicrosurgery training.

The event opened with remarks from Course Director Dr. Yuanita Safitri Dianti, who highlighted the importance of precision in reconstructive surgery.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Yelena Akelina, whose lecture, “Tips and Tricks for Basic Microsurgery,” offered valuable insights and inspiration.

The hands-on sessions brought that learning into practice:
✨ Dr. Irra Rubiati Widarda led training on end-to-side anastomosis using CROWNJUN USP 9-0 with 1.5 mm and 1.0 mm artificial vessels
✨ Dr. Sara Ester Triatmoko guided participants through suturing vascular grafts using CROWNJUN 10-0 with 1.0 mm and 1.5 mm artificial vessels
✨ Dr. David Kyung-Chul Moon conducted training on end-to-end anastomosis using CROWNJUN 11-0 with 0.7 mm artificial vessels

Grateful to be part of the ASEAN Urogynecology Forum 2026,
held in conjunction with HUGI Scientific Meeting XIV Jakarta 2026.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Takeyama and Dr. Jimmy Nomura for their inspiring presentations.
Through different perspectives, they shared valuable insights into TVM (mesh-based procedures) and LSC/RSC (non-mesh approaches), highlighting the benefits and challenges of each technique.
In their talks, ORIHIME (PTFE mesh) was discussed in the context of mesh-based procedures, while Tefdesser II (polyester) and ASFLEX (PVDF) were introduced for non-mesh approaches.

We learned a great deal from this session.
