Magnet Bracket (MB-AG)

Silver-coated Steel Bracelet with Neodymium Magnet fasteners. Due to the natural magnetic properties of steel, the 90cm length and neodymium magnet fasteners on each end allow for the bracelet to conform to almost any wrist size.

The magnet ring and magnet bracelet were part of Takeshi Endo’s initial explorations into non-formally utilitarian objects, instead emphasizing the inherent functionality of magnetism and focusing on surface finish durability.

シルバーコーティングスチールブレスレット(ネオジム磁石のファスナー付き)。スチールが持つ磁性により、全長90cmのチェーンと両端のネオジム磁石で、ほぼどんな手首のサイズにも合わせることができる。

マグネットリングとマグネットブレスレットは、遠藤が形式上の実用性にとらわれないオブジェクトに初めて取り組んだ試みのひとつであり、磁力が本来持つ機能性を利用しつつ、表面仕上げの耐久性に注力したアイテムである。

Magnet Ring (MR-AG)

Silver-coated Neodymium Magnet Ring (silver-coated cylindrical and rectangular neodymium magnets.) Each section of the ring is completely segmented, allowing for the size to be freely adjusted and forming a shape that cannot be produced by casting or machining.

The magnet ring and magnet bracelet were part of Takeshi Endo’s initial explorations into a non-formally utilitarian objects, instead emphasizing the inherent functionality of magnetism and focusing on surface finish durability. Throughout its development, the main challenge of the ring was to coat the surface of a magnet without degrading its magnetic properties or corroding its structural integrity. Many surface combinations were tested, resulting in a finish that contained a strong combination of resilience and functionality.

シルバーコーティングネオジム磁石リング(シルバーコーティングされた円筒形と直方体のネオジム磁石)。リングの各パーツは完全に独立しており、サイズを自由に調整できるほか、鋳造や切削加工では制作不可能な形状を実現している。

マグネットリングとマグネットブレスレットは、遠藤が形式上の実用性にとらわれないオブジェクトに初めて取り組んだ試みのひとつであり、磁力が本来持つ機能性を利用しつつ、表面仕上げの耐久性に注力したアイテムである。リング開発において最大の課題は、磁力を損なわず、また磁石自体を劣化させることなく、その表面をコーティングすることだった。そして数多くの表面処理実験を行なった結果、耐久性と機能性を高いレベルで両立したこの仕上げにたどり着いた。

A4 (landscape format) bi-fold clipboard with a built-in writing instrument holder, fabricated from a hybrid construction of duralumin and industrial polyester film. The neodymium magnet in the binder clip also functions as a clasp for when the binder is folded closed.

This is the final iteration of a binder that Takeshi Endo used for 10 years on both industrial design and architectural projects, evolving from its early samples consisting of only polyethylene and tape to its current hybrid duralumin and polyester form.

A4サイズ横使いの筆記具ホルダー付き二つ折りクリップボード。ジュラルミンと工業用ポリエステルフィルムのハイブリッド構造で作られている。クリップに使用されているネオジム磁石は、二つ折りにして閉じた際のキャッチとしても機能する。
デザイナーの遠藤本人がインダストリアルデザインと建築のプロジェクトで10年間使い続けてきたバインダーの最終形。初期のサンプルはポリエチレンとテープだけで作られていたが、改良を重ねて、現在のジュラルミンとポリエステルのハイブリッド構造に至った。

近日、店頭およびオンラインにて発売予定。

FLAP (FL) + PERSONA (PS):

FLAP 17 PRO / 17 PROMAX cases are fully compatible with the new 18 PRO / 18 PROMAX models. We will be gradually updating the designator inside each case to be 17/18PRO and 17/18PROMAX.

As for the Series 12 42 / 46 and ULTRA 4, they are also fully compatible with existing 42 / 46 / ULTRA frames.

FLAP 17 PRO / 17 PROMAXのケースは、新しい18 PRO / 18 PROMAXモデルにも対応しています。
各ケース内部の品番表記は、「17/18PRO」および「17/18PROMAX」へ順次変更していく予定です。Series 12の42 / 46とULTRA 4についても、既存の42 / 46 / ULTRAフレームに対応しています。
